Building on science museums and amusement park designs.

The Alien Egg. A framework experience.

A framework experience that I designed with the Human-Computer Interaction theory. I am building on science museums and amusement park designs.

This project is currently on display at TU/e Atlas 2nd floor d.search.

Science museums and amusement parks are full of extraordinary encounters driven by technology. My M1.2 research framework captures the essence of the interaction between science museums and amusement parks. To explain the five phases, I make the framework a product experience by creating a demonstrator with the interaction types named The Alien Egg. I applied the framework rules in the Alien Egg to create an extraordinary technology experience object outside the science museums and amusement parks. The interactions diagram shows the translation of the HCI experiences into a designed interaction.

The egg nudges the user's attention with its fur and wobbling motion. When The Alien Egg is touched, picked up, moved around or handed over, it responds with sounds and movement. Are you ready to explore The Alien Egg?
